Distance to convex hull

Compute the distance of a polygon to its convex hull (DSC).

Usage

mafa_dsc(sfpolygons)

Arguments

sfpolygons

sf object composed of polygons.

Value

sfpoygons with DSC as a new column.

Details

\(DSC = 1 - \frac{A_p}{A_{ch}}\), with \(A_p\) the area of a polygon and \(A_{ch}\) the area of its convex hull. DSC is normalized between [0-1].
